THE BATTLE WITHIN

We usually associate bacteria with infection or disease, but did you know that certain bacteria organisms known as probiotics (pro life) are essential to our health: Believe it or not, the average biologically healthy adult contains between four and eight pounds of these beneficial bacteria in their system! These bacteria, which number in the trillions, have a major influence on every single process that keeps us alive. Their presence or disappearance can determine whether you and your family can enjoy optimal wellness or suffer dreadful illness.

It is estimated that between 60% and 80% of our immune systems are in our digestive tracts. It is like our guts are our battlefields and these beneficial bacteria make up our army that are defending our walls from the invaders of pathogenic agents such as candida, parasites, and many other harmful organisms such as H Pylori or C Diff. Unfortunately, we don't do a very good job of supporting our army. We instead damage or destroy a lot of our army, allowing the invaders to flourish, resulting in a condition known as Dysbiosis, which means "not in harmony". Most of us know that antibiotics (anti life) destroy our good bacteria, but there are many other things that do as well. Diets high in sugar, alcohol, reflux-acid reducer medicaton, birth control pills, and estrogen replacement therapy, are just a few of the main culprits.

To learn more about how to keep from harming your army and how to send in more recruits, thru a good multi strain probiotic such as Enterobiotic, come see us at Canadian Valley Pharmacy. May God Bless you and your army.
